The distance among us

By Xiaoqian Cui

Personal space protects us and keeps us from feeling overwhelmed. However, nowadays we are taking too much personal space in the public space of the city. People are far away from each other. This project aims to explore how to use visual communication to make people aware of non-communicative mechanisms in public spaces of the city. The aim is that people will change their attitude towards strangers regardless of who they are and where they are from after viewing the project. Also that there will be more communication in urban spaces in the future.
