Tender Resistance
By Jamile Faller
Through an investigation of Memory and Emotion, this project seeks to interpret and reveal how these two concepts are inherently connected and play an active role in the construction of our identities. The project aims to be a reflection of how our internal processes are wired, and to enable people to evaluate, regulate and transform their responses to the events of the world. This installation utilizes visual and tactile materials to represent how layers of emotions and memories compose us. It invites the public to contemplate an aesthetic interpretation of the impact our subjectivity has on how we remember and feel.
